![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope i helped :) ( i know its alot but if you break these suggestions in chapters and start studying, you ll get there in no time ) Sort all these out and when you re sitting front of a mix that makes you smile, then its time to consider googling "Pro Mastering Techniques" :))) You should be able to say if a track is acceptable from the start or if not, discard and retake with better approach this time - It will result in a respectable and "easier" mix if theres such a thing :)Īnd if not all the above, you could just have blown the treble cones in your speakers - Crazy huh? But doable :))) I send a pair of cables from my main out to a new stereo track and play/rec the whole thing there. It makes a huge difference opposed to the cold algorithm that mixes the song in the DAW and does not respect what my DA does when i am listening and thus mixing to what i hear at the time.Īlso +1 for monkeys proper tracking. If B then something s wrong with how you perceive the sound spectrum and could be equipment, room dimensions etc.Įlse could be millions of other reasons as bad exporting settings or lack of proper mastering.Īlso for bouncing I dont bounce in the box coz i have really good AD/DA and i dont want it out of the equation. If A then stop using the eq presets coz they re probably fixed in a frequency that does not affect your desired ballpark.Try apllying an eq from default and start sweeping to find the right frequencies to boost ( or cut ). Is it darky when still in your DAW, or it sounds like that (translates) only when you play it outside you pc in another media with different speakers? ![]()
